The Rivers State Government says waivers for the establishment of 15 modular refineries in the state have been secured.
Peter Meede, the state Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
He said there will be enough petroleum products in the state for export when the 15 refineries are in place.
Meede, noted that the need to end artesinal refinery which is dangerous to humans and the environment necessitated the move.
He also explained that the processes for establishment of the refineries by investors have been handled by the waiver.
