Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike says a Taskforce would be set up to check the activities of street traders in the state.
The governor, who disclosed this in a statement, said the activities of street traders are defacing projects recently commissioned.
He said such act is not acceptable and that government will not fold its arm and allow projects that gulped billions to be defaced by traders.
Wike called on those who engages in illegal street trading to desist from the act or face the consequences.
The Rivers State Government had few months ago placed a ban on illegal street trading along some major roads in the state.
