The Rivers State Ministry of Education has announced plans to carryout a unified E-learning for students in the state. This is to focus on the completion of the second term academic session and start online resumption for the next one.
Commissioner of Education Kaniye Ebeku, made the revelation during a meeting with stakeholders of Private and Public schools in the state. He stated that the need to introduce the platform is to overcome the physical closure of schools occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
In the same vein, the Senior Special Assistant to Gov. Wike on ICT, Asawo Ibifuro said the platform will make provision for teacher/student interaction and also be flexible for schools to create students profile.
Asawo further reiterated that the initiative will also provide pupils learning materials approved by the Federal Ministry of Education.
