The Rivers State Government has announced the construction of the Rumuodogo Road in Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
Governor Nyesom Wike in the company of state officials and political leaders from Emuoha made the announcement during an inspection tour of the road yesterday.
The 19-kilometre road traverses Rumuodogo 1 and 2 communities from the East-West road up to Rumuewhor community.
Governor Wike who expressed satisfaction for the wonderful reception he received from the people of the area said the construction work on the Road would commence this October.
“I was told that this road has never been constructed and it is in dire need to be put to use. The people of this area have given us enormous support. So it is our own time to pay you back,” he said.
“Our government makes promises and we fulfil them. So be rest assured that this project will be completed, ” he stated.
He noted that the construction of road was a way of giving back to the people of the area for their massive support all these years.
