The Rivers State Government has announced that it will soon start the construction for another flyover at GRA Junction, Aba road, Port Harcourt.
The state Governor Nyesom Wike made this known while on inspection of major ongoing projects in PHALGA and Obio-Akpor LGA, yesterday June 10 2020.
The governor equally announced the dualization of the GRA junction-stadium link road, popularly known as “Mummy B” road down to stadium road. He noted that the Genesis road to its extension will be also be dualized down to Ikwerre road. This is to ease the flow of traffic in the state, he noted
Governor Wike said, the Rumuola flyover will be expanded due to the complaints by residents, on its narrowness. The flyover will be expanded to accommodate two cars on each lane, he mentioned.
According to him COVID-19 will come and go but the state needs infrastructures that will be here after the virus. He furthermore outlined the completion of major projects by his administration.
