The Rivers State Housing and Property Authority has denied purported rumors making the rounds that the agency is currently selling houses at some areas in Port Harcourt through agents. The agency has described this as false and the handiwork of fraudsters.
The agency in a statement said they are currently not selling or auctioning any house or houses at the moment, as it warned residents not to engage in such business.
In the statement the housing authority said sale of houses are not done via agents but through the office of the general manager.
They warned residents not to fall victim to the fraudulent activity currently being perpetrated by fake agents, advising them to report any agent or agents claiming to be from the agency to their office or security agencies.
