The Rivers State Government has announced the extension of the registration of candidates for the 2020 Basic Education Certification Programme to August 28, 2020.
The State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku disclosed this at a meeting with the state representatives of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools and other stakeholders in Port Harcourt.
He said the extension became necessary following pleas by administrators and principals of both public and private schools to enable them conclude the registration processes.
Prof. Ebeku also noted that the Ministry of education is working tirelessly to ensure the smooth conduct of the 2020 Basic Education Programme.
