The Rivers State Police Command has announced the approval of two new Police posts in Umuogba and Ofeh both in Omuma Local Government Area. This is geared towards improving policing in the area.
Mrs. Rosemary Collins, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Oyigbo Area Command disclosed this when she visited the King of Omuma, Onyekachi Amaonwu Eze Eberi Ugo IX of Eberi Ancient Kingdom in his palace.
She said the reason for siting the two stations in Omuma was to increase policing in the local government area. She equally noted that the visit was to create a working relationship with the king and his people and to help put an end to crime in the area.
In his response, the monarch on behalf of his people thanked ACP Rosemary and the Police hierarchy for approving the two police posts in the area.
He also promised to support the Police in achieving the project which he said will be beneficial to the people of the LGA.
