The Police in Rivers State has denied reports making rounds on social media that five female students of the Faculty of Humanties, Rivers State University(Ahoada campus), were on Monday raped by hoodlums.
Grace Koko, spokesperson for the command, said she has confirmed from the Chief Security Officer(CSO) of RSU Ahoada campus, Dr. E. Dominic Evanson, who said no such incident took place in the area
She also said that the Police has not received any report of such incident from anyone.
Meanwhile, Human Rights Activists have called on anyone who was raped to make a formal complaint to the Police.
