The Rivers State Police Command has given a one week ultimatum to all those still in possession of fire arms in the state to return them.
The Spokesperson of the State Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni who made this known in a chat with journalists yesterday, said the directive is from the IGP of Police and is not targeted at anybody or group.
He said after the expiration of the deadline, those still in possession of firearms will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
