The Rivers State Police Command, has confirmed the killing of one Aleruchi Awuzuruike by his friend Chibueze Ojiriome for allegedly stealing and killing his goat.
The incident happened yesterday, at Ubima Community in Ikwerree Local Government Area, Rivers State.
Spokesperson of state Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this in a chat with journalists yesterday.
Omoni noted that the suspect is now in Police custody, after he was arrested by a local Vigilante group. He said investigation is on going to bring him to book.
According to sources, the deceased had gone to the house of the suspect, and was accused of stealing a goat. After much argument, Mr. Chibueze brought out a machete and allegedly killed him.
