The Rivers State Police Command, has confirmed the killing of two of its officers at Okija street in Diobu, Port Harcourt.
Spokesperson of the state command, Nnamdi Omoni in a statement today, said the officers were on a stop and search operation when unknown gunmen opened fire on them.
He stated that the Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday has ordered an investigation into the mattet to ensure the arrest of the assailants.
The Police Spokesperson also said an AK-47 belonging to one of the officers was carted away.
