The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the attack on an NNPC filling station in Ihueke community along East West Road on Friday.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko in a statement said hoodlums stormed the station and carted away valuables.
She, however, dismissed reports that it was an armed robbery attack, adding that an investigation is ongoing.
Manager of the station had alleged that armed men numbering about 20 attacked the station, tied the security guards and carted away valuables.
