The Rivers State Police Command has alleged that members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are responsible for the attack on two of its stations, which led to the death of two police officers in Oyigbo LGA.
Spokesperson of the Police Command, Nnamdi Omoni made this known in a chat with journalists yesterday.
Omoni, said the IPOB members numbering over five hundred attacked and burnt the two police stations. He noted that over fifteen police vehicles were destroyed while arms and ammunition were carted away.
He said hoodlums equally attempted to set ablaze the mile one Police station but were resisted by officers of the E-crack team stationed there.
