The Rivers State Police Command has arrested two of its personnel attached to the State Criminal Investigation Department, over alleged extortion.
Spokesperson of the command, Grace Koko confirmed the arrest in a tweet on Monday.
This was after a complaint by a young man on Twitter that the security operatives extorted him, and tagged the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Adejobi Olumuyiwa.
Olumuyiwa in turn tweeted and queried the Rivers State Police Command on why people in the state are still being extorted and harassed despite several warnings by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba
