The Rivers State House of Assembly has passed the Rivers State Medium Term expenditure Frame Work 2023 /2025 with the amount of over 500 billion on the floor of the house.
The speaker of the house, Ikunyi Owaji Ibani in his submission said the budget policy statement as submitted to the house will promote economic development in the state adding that part of the objective of the statement, is to create a peaceful society and to promote the rule of law.
Ibani also noted that the total budget for 2023 fiscal year is over 500 billion naira.
Earlier during debate, the majority leader of the house, Martin Amaewhule said it is expected that the state should sustain the current budget reform program and ensures policy plan leakages.
