The Rivers State Government has vowed to punish principals in Government Schools caught collecting examination fees from students.
The state commissioner for Education, Prof. Chinedu Mmom made this known in a statement while inspecting the ongoing Basic Certificate Examination in the state on Monday.
According to Mmom, any principal found wanting will be dealt with in accordance with the laws of the land.
He said no student is expected to pay WAEC, NECO or any other examination fee as the government has taken care of that.
