The Rivers State Government says it will launch an investigation into acts of vandalism and stealing of properties at its water facilities in some communities in Ogoni land.
State Commissioner for Water Resources, Tamunosisi Jaja disclosed this in a statement when he visited the affected facilities.
He said, items stolen include two 100 KVA generators, water treatment plants, bore hole machines, and other items, in Agbor Nchia and Oghale communities.
He warned that communities where government properties are stolen and vandalized would no longer get government patronage.
He called on those responsibleto desist from the act as the government is determined to bring perpetrators to book.
