The Rivers State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting quality education, research, innovation and human capital development as key drivers of a resilient healthcare system and sustainable national development.
The Commissioner for Education, Dr. Peters Nwagor, stated this on Tuesday at the 5th Biennial Conference and Call for Papers of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Rivers State College of Health Science and Management Technology, held in Port Harcourt.
Represented by the Director of Higher Education, Mrs. Magdalene Wilcox, Nwagor described the conference theme, “Strengthening Public Health System in Nigeria: Innovation, Equity and Sustainability,” as timely, stressing that Nigeria’s health sector requires innovative and inclusive approaches to address emerging challenges.
