The Rivers State Government, has dragged former Governor of the State, Chibuike Amaechi and APC governorship candidate, Tonye Cole to couurt over alleged sale of assests belonging to the state Government.
The duo were slammed with a nine count charge in a charge sheet signed by the Director of Public Prosecution for the Attorney General of the state, C.F. Amadi.
Sahara Energy was also listed in the suit filed on June 7, as Amaechi’s co-defendants.
The State Governor is accusing Amaechi of selling some of the assests belonging to the state, and diverting the proceeds.
