Stakeholders in the Rivers State have condemned the alleged physical assault and stripping of a woman in Ovogho community in Emohua Local Government Area, by members of ROSPAC.
They said their action is inhumane and a violation of the human rights of the victim, Mrs. Comfort Eze. They have, therefore, called for the arrest of the alleged perpetrators of the crime.
Meanwhile, some women in the community, Miss Sylvia and Peace Uchendu, who claimed to be the owners of the cassava the suspect allegedly stole, said they were responsible for the stripping of the suspect and not members of the security outfit.
The women in a chat with journalists, claimed that the suspect stole the farm produce and that it is part of their culture to strip naked anyone caught stealing.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the security outfit in Rumundele community, Onyechekor Uduma has denied the allegation stating that he and his men are innocent of the crime.
