Road users have raised an alarm over an ‘illegal taskforce’, that extorts motorists and impounds vehicles around the Eliozu flyover axis of Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
They made this known during a call-in programme on NigrInfo with Jude Omamegbe Today.
One of the callers stated that the taskforce officials are scattered around Port Harcourt with fake Identity cards, and warned people to be wary of the illegal activities of the group.
Another caller alleged that they once held and damaged her car for doing nothing, adding that they could not Identity themselves when she inquired.
She described the group as hoodlums who extort and impound people’s cars, noting that they have a yard opposite the Eliozu flyover.
The callers called on security operatives to ensure the arrest of the illegal taskforce officials
