The Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA) has decried the incessant attacks on its workers by hoodlums and others in the state. Sole Administrator of RIWAMA and former PDP Chairman in the state, Felix Obuah made this known in a statement, yesterday in Port Harcourt.

He said service providers of the agency were attacked by people who claimed  to be officers of COVID-19, enforcement team in various communities. In a recent incident members of RIWAMA were attacked with machetes and other weapons, Obuah noted.

The RIWAMA boss made it known that the matter have been reported to the Council heads of Obio-Akpor and PHALGA respectively. He equally stated that security agencies have been alerted on the development.

Obuah urged them to ensure the arrest and prosecution of the suspects. This is to forestall further attacks on service providers by hoodlums and others, he noted.
