President of Ogoni Youth Federation, Comrade-Legborsi Sunday Yamaabana has alleged that enemies of ogoni land have sent assailants who are currently trailing Comr. Solomon Lenu with the intention to kill him.
Yamaabana who made this known in a statement yesterday, said they know those behind the plot.
According to him, if anything happens to Lenu who is the spokesperson of the Rivers State Civil Society Organizations, such persons would be held responsible.
He also said security agencies have been alerted of the plot.
His statement reads,
Security Alert:
Credible information available to Ogoni Youth Federation has it that men from the underworld sent by enemies of Ogoni are trailing Comrade Solomon Lenu with the intention to exterminate him. They won’t succeed.
We know those behind this move and wish to state it unequivocally that if anything happens to Solomon, these people would be held responsible.
We’ve alerted security agencies, lovers of justice and friends of Ogoni across the globe.
