President, Muhammadu Buhari has said that he is eager to leave office, as it has been tough for him.
Buhari, made this known when Governors of the All Progressives Congress visited him in Daura, Katsina State.
The President, who said he is grateful to God that people appreciate the personal sacrifices they have been making, wished the next president the very best.
“I am eager to go. I can tell you it has been tough. I am grateful to God that people appreciate the personal sacrifices we have been making. I wish the person who is coming after me the very best,” he said.
On the ongoing ASUU strike, the president said: “We hope that ASUU will sympathise with the people on the prolonged strike. Truly, enough is enough for keeping students at home. Don’t hurt the next generation for goodness sake.
