A woman, identified as Aniefong Bassey has accused officers at the Rumuokoro Police Division of torturing her husband, Success Bassey after his former boss accused him of robbery and arrested him.
Mrs Bassey in a chat with journalists Today said she started looking for her husband few weeks ago before she was informed that he was at the Rumuokoro police station.
She also said when she got to the police station, she could not recognize the husband again as he had been severely beaten and hung upside down while he was been forced to admit the crime.
The woman who is seeking justice for her husband, called on civil Society Organizations to come to her aide.
She stated that life has not been easy for the family since her husband got missing, as they have been unable to feed.
