A woman identified as Callister Ugiri has called on the Police in Rivers state to release the corpse of her son whom she said was hit by stray bullet during the protest against the planned impeachment of Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Tuesday.
Mrs Ugiri, made this known during an interview on NigrInfo Today.
According to her, she has gone to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, the GRA Police station, Police headquarters,and the State CID, in an attempt to locate her son’s body, but has been unable to find it.
The Rivers State Police Command is yet to speak on this.
We gathered that a young man was shot when youths attempted to invade residence of the Speaker of the Rivers state House of Assembly few days ago.
