A Rivers United Football Club player, Nwagua Nyima Nekabari has legally wedded his fiancee identified as Whitney.
The marriage took place yesterday in Port Harcourt.
The low-key event was attended by friends and family members of the couple.
Nwagua, who won the Nigeria Professional Football League with the club was one of those who received the sum of N12 Million naira from the Rivers State Government for the achievement.
The trophy is the first major honour for Rivers United since they were formed following a merger of Dolphins and Sharks in 2016.
