A woman whose five-year-old daughter was allegedly defiled by one Bright Ekwueme in Rumuekini in Obio/Akpor local government area, has called for protection following threats to her life.
The woman, in a chat with journalists on Wednesday, alleged that thugs were hired by some persons to beat her up for reporting the matter to the Police.
The girl’s mother, said she needs help from the government and members of the public, as she wants justice served in the matter.
“I need help from the government. People should help me. Somyebody raped my daughter,” she said.
“That is why I am calling on the government to help me. I don’t have anybody to help me.”
“The person’s name is Bright Ekwueme. He is in police custody. I have gone to the hospital for examination. I am waiting for the result,” she added.
