The newly elected chairperson of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, FIDA, in Rivers State, Bio Briggs says she will ensure the mandate of the association which is to protect the rights of women and children is achieved.
Briggs, in a chat with journalists shortly after her election over the weekend, said the rising violation of the rights of women and children will not be tolerated.
The FIDA Boss, also said she will ensure more women and children get justice, whenever their rights are violated, irrespective of were they reside in the state.
She urged members to be strong and firm, as the Constitution of the association instructs all members to ensure the rights of women and children are not abused.
Briggs, assured that they will work with other relevant agencies to ensure justice and less crime in the society.
