Senators from Rivers state have been appointed as Chairmen of various committees by the leadership of the senate.
Senate President, Godswill Akpiabio announced the composition and leadership of standing committees on Monday.
The announcement was made shortly after lawmakers recovened from their short break after confirmation of the ministerial nominees.
Sen. Ipalibo Banigo was appointed Chairman; Health Committee, Sen. Allwell Onyesoh – chairman Federal Character and Governmental affairs and Sen. Barry Mpigi – Chairman Niger Delta Committee.
