The House of Representatives candidate for Obio/Akpor Federal constituency under the platform of Social Democratic Party in Rivers State, Tony Boms said the attack on his home is a ploy to stop him from campaigning freely in the state.
Boms in a statement shortly after the attack said his properties were vandalized after the hoodlums gained access to the house.
He also said he had gone out for a meeting with stakeholders when the hoodlums attacked, adding that a vehicle was stationed in front of his gate shooting sporadically.
He also said someone was shot by the hoodlums, and was later taken to the hospital, adding that the Police later visited his house to access the level of damage.
