Rivers State has recorded 1 new case of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 80 with 21 discharged and 3 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known on its Twitter handle during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
The Centre further announced 339 new cases of the COVID-19 in the country. Lagos recorded the highest number with 139; 28-Kano 28-Oyo 25-Edo 22-Katsina 18-Kaduna 14-Jigawa 13-Yobe 13-Plateau 11-FCT 8-Gombe 5-Ogun 4-Bauchi 4-Nasarawa 3-Delta 2-Ondo 1-Rivers 1-Adamawa.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 7016 with 1907 discharged and 211 deaths. The NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure. The commission advised Nigerians not to panic over the increased cases , as the country is on course to curbing its spread.
