Rivers State has recorded 27 new positive coronavirus cases including the Manager of Prodest Hotel. Recall that Governor Wike demolished Prodest Hotel a while ago owing to failure to comply with state directives.
The Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paulinus Nsirim made this development known in a statement released today.
According to Nsirim, this outcome “validates the State Government’s proactive approach towards the fight against COVID-19”.
Nsirim also stated the the COVID-19 Taskforce members from the Local Government who went to enforce Wike’s Executive Order were attacked resulting in the death of one of the members.
