Rivers State has recorded 2 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 53 with 21 discharged and 3 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on its Twitter handle, during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
The Centre further announced 216 new cases of the COVID-19 in the country. Lagos recorded the highest number with 74; 33-Katsina 19-Oyo 17-Kano 13-Edo 10-Zamfara 8-Ogun 8-Gombe 8-Borno 7-Bauchi 7-Kwara 4-FCT 3-Kaduna 3-Enugu 2-Rivers
This brings the total number of 6175 confirmed cases in the country with 1644 discharged and 191 deaths. Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
