Rivers State has recorded 16 new cases of the COVID-19. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the state to 51 with 21 discharged and 3 deaths.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), made this known during its daily update of the COVID-19 in the country yesterday.
The Centre further announced 338 new cases of the COVID19 in the country. Lagos recorded the highest number with 177; 64-Kano 21-FCT 16-Rivers 14-Plateau 11-Oyo 9-Katsina 4-Jigawa 4-Kaduna 3-Abia 3-Bauchi 3-Borno 2-Gombe 2-Akwa Ibom 2-Delta 1-Ondo 1-Kebbi 1-Sokoto.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 5959 with 1594 discharged and 182 deaths. Meanwhile, the NCDC has warned Nigerians to continue practicing good respiratory hygiene so as to stop the further spread of the pandemic, which currently has no cure.
