The Rivers State Police Command says eight kidnap victims abducted in different parts of the state were rescued in the past one week.
The state Commissioner of Police, Nwonyi Emeka made this known during a press briefing at the command’s headquarters in Port Harcourt on Monday.
He also said two suspects who engaged operatives of the command in gun duel, in effort to rescue the victims were killed.
He noted that the command will continue to do everything within its power to rid the state of crime and criminality.
