The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), says it is set to receive members of the All Progressives Congress into its fold.
State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Sydney Tambari said this in a statement in Port Harcourt on Thursday.
He said a grand reception to welcome the decampees will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the Rumueme Civic Centre in Obio/Akpor Local Government Are.
He said the occasion will be graced by PDP leaders in the state and the South South region.
The defecting members include: Former State Chairman of the APC, Dr. Ikanya Davies, Rt. Hon. Igo Aguma (Former National Assembly Member and former Ag. Chairman, APC), Chief Ogbogbo Nnamdi (Former APC LGA Leader).
Others are; Hon. Isobo Jack (Former Caretaker Chairman, APC), Chief Hon. Wisdom “Wizzy Waks” Wakama (Former Minority Leader in the State Assembly), Hon. Alpine Whyte (Former Deputy Mayor, PHALGA)
Hon. Alamese Martins-Yellow8) Hon. Ilamabo Mirilla, Hon. Faaye Franklin and Barr. Paul Nwankwoala (former APC Legal Adviser), make up the list.
He called on Supporters of the party to grace the occasion, as all COVID-19 protocols will be duly observed.
