The People’s Democratic Party in Rivers State has ended its 8-days protest at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Port Harcourt.
The protest began on April 3 2023 when candidate of the APC, Tonye Cole stormed the office of the commission to inspect documents used in the election.
It resulted in a clash between supporters of the PDP and APC which allegedly led to the death of one person.
The Rivers State PDP embarked on the protest because they wanted a joint inspection of election results and by all parties.
