Rivers Governorship hopeful, Hon. Sobomabo Jackrich has pleaded with the state government to meet with the local government chairmen of Emouha, Akuku Toru, Asari Toru, and security agencies to ensure adequate security along the state axis of the East West Road.

Jackrich, made the call when he picked the governorship nomination form of his party, the National Rescue Movement in Abuja, yesterday.

The governoship hopeful, was reacting to the hijack of a passenger bus by heavily armed men at the Emouha axis of the road on Monday.

Jackrich, who condemned the incident and described it as unfortunate, called for the unconditional release of those abducted.

He also called on security agencies to bring the abductors to book, and ensure the release of those in captivity.

The outspoken leader of the Network for Defense of Democracy and Good Governance, advised youths to shun violence and criminality.

He urged Rivers people to join him in building and transforming the state
