Owner of the 21 Cows shot dead by unknown gunmen in Odogwa community in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, Umaru Abu says he has been left stranded because of the incident.
Abu, in a chat with journalists Today, said the cows were all he had and that so many of them were taken on credit.
He expressed shock over the incident adding that he has been living peacefully with members of the community.
He stated that those who carried out the attack knew that the cows were tied inside the bush but, cannot ascertain if they were members of the community.
He revealed that the cows were tied to prevent them from moving about destroying things in the community, as it would have been impossible to kill them if not so.
Abu, explained that he has nothing left, adding that ten of the cows were pregnant.
