Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Buba Marwa has commended officials of the agency in Rivers State, over the arrest of three suspected drug dealers at the weekend.
The suspects, identified as Happiness Joseph, Larry Samuel and Mark James were arrested during a raid at the Abuja Waterfront in Prort Harcourt.
The NDLEA in a statement, said large volume of illicit drugs and the sum of Seven hundred and ninety thousand naira were recovered from the suspects.
It noted that one of the suspects identified as Uduak Paul escaped during the raid and that efforts are underway to apprehend him.
The agency, disclosed that it is committed to ensuring that dealers on all kinds of illicit drugs are arrested and brought to book.
It called on those involved in the illegal act to desist or face the full weight of the law when caught.
