The Chairman of Social Democratic Party SDP, in Rivers State, Hon. Sosuma Osaro has called for the cancellation of Saturday’s local government elections in the state.
Hon. Osaro made this known in an interview with Journalists in Port Harcourt, on Saturday.
He accused the People’s Democratic Party of hijacking the process, while stating that result sheets were taken to the houses of PDP members.
“Election sold and bought by PDP, no result sheet, they have taken them to houses of politicians,” he said.
He called on the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, to cancel the entire poll as there was no election in the state.
Meanwhile, the SDP Chairman in Ikwerre LGA, Hon. Jerry Amadi has alleged that the councillorship candidate in Apani Ikwerre Local Government Area, Hope Amadi was seriously injured and chased out of the area.
