Hon. Kelechi Nwogu, a state legislator, and member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, representing Omuma State Constituency has empowered his constituents with gifts and cash prizes.
The lawmaker Today handed over the sum of N500,000 to 13 young people and N2,000,000 to some others, car gifts, and starter packs to those who completed skills acquisition programmes.
Kelechi, who disclosed this in a statement said it is a privilege to empower his people.
His statement reads
It is a privilege to empower these amazing Omuma youths. No wonder Ben Carson said ‘Happiness does not result from what we get but from what we give’.
Seeing the smiles and joy on their faces gladdens my heart. This gesture will not only put a smile on the lives of the beneficiaries but their families at large. The 13 youths we empowered with 500 thousand naira each will reflect on their families too.
The graduands of the skill acquisition programmes were also empowered with their starter packs that will enable a smooth sail to financial freedom.
Some youths were given car gifts and some were even given 2million naira each. The essence of this is to alleviate poverty in Omuma and we are on our way to achieving that.
Let us also remember that Christ is love, and He is the reason for the season. We should be intentional about giving and showing love.
Congratulations to the beneficiaries and I urge you all to pay the kindness forward no matter how small.
I wish you all a merry Christmas and prosperous New year.
