The lawmaker representing Port Harcourt Federal Constituency 11, Hon. Chinyere Igwe in collaboration with the Nigerian Film Corporation yesterday, provided grants to newly trained artists(youths) in the emerging creative industry.
The event, held at the Mgbudunkwu Civic Center, 11 Egede Street in Mile 2 Diobu, Port Harcourt.
The essence of the initiative as explained by the organizer is to support the beneficiaries to excel in their chosen fields.
The lawmaker said his drive and passion to see youths succeed compelled him to carryout the initiative.
He advised the beneficiaries to use the money judiciously and promised to continue supporting youths of the constituency.
