The Rivers State Judiciary has refuted claims that Justice Frank Onyiri of the State High Court issued an injunction restraining the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), from inaugurating members of the Rivers State Service Commission.
In a statement released on Monday by the Deputy Chief Registrar, Menenen Poromon, the Judiciary described the report as “false, malicious, and completely unfounded.” It clarified that neither Justice Onyiri nor any other judge of the Rivers State High Court had issued such an order.
Poromon urged members of the public to disregard the misinformation and verify any court-related reports through the office of the Chief Registrar of the High Court.
Earlier, the Rivers State Sole Administrator swore in the chairman and members of the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC).
