The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the killing of a police inspector identified as David in Etche Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement issued on Monday, the spokesperson of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, said investigations have been launched to apprehend those responsible for the officer’s death.
An eyewitness account revealed that the inspector was allegedly stabbed by two men suspected to be military personnel, who were riding on a motorcycle when he stopped them. The motive behind the attack is still unclear.
