Former Governor of Rivers State and FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike failed to appear before the Judicial Panel of Inquiry investigating the arson on council Secretariats across the state yesterday.

Chairman of the Panel, Justice I. R. Minakiri disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

According to her, Tuesday’s sitting was reserved for Wike who failed to appear before the commission or send a representative.

She added that Wike’s invite followed calls by some persons from Emuoha Local Government Area who submitted a memorandum to the commission along with downloaded video clips from the internet

She also said the commission ended its sitting yesterday, and commended all those who appeared before it, and worked for its success since commencement of its task.
