Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria in Rivers State, Joseph Obele has called on President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu to facilitate the repairs of the Port Harcourt, Kaduna and Warri refineries to address the issues of petrol scarcity and hike in petroleum products.
Obele, made this known in a statement shortly after the swearing in of Tinubu on Monday.
According to him, the ongoing repairs of the refineries by the previous administration have been slow because they took delight in importing fuel from their business partners abroad.
He also said there is a supply gap in products across the nation, adding that the Dangote Refinery will address this issue.
Obele revealed that the queues seen in fuel stations is due to the announcement of the removal of subsidy by President, Tinubu.
