A pipeline surveillance contractor identified as Kinikanwo Ojindah, in Ogbakiri community, Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State has been reportedly shot dead by unknown gunmen.
Sources say Ojindah, was reportedly killed in his apartment on Sunday.
One Godspower Kamalu, Secretary to Rumuokani Council of Chiefs, confirmed the incident in a statement.
They called on the government at all levels to ensure that those behind the death of Ojindah, are arrested and made to face the full weight of the law.
The Emohua LG Council and the Rivers State Police were yet to react to the incident.
